Meet Terri
Toronto Needs Leadership That Listens
For years, Terri Hawkes has brought people together across University–Rosedale — advocating for thoughtful development, stronger neighbourhoods, green spaces, youth opportunity, and meaningful community consultation.
She’s not a career politician.
She’s a community builder.
COMMUNITY
Serving local residents through advocacy and grassroots leadership.
TRANSPARENCY
Fighting for consultation, accountability, and smarter city planning.
FUTURE
Creating a city where young people, families, and older adults can thrive.

Terri Hawkes is an arts leader, community advocate, and proud resident of University–Rosedale.
For years, she has worked to bring people together — serving on the Annex Residents’ Association, co-founding the Dalton Road Residents’ Group, and advocating for thoughtful development, green space protection, and stronger neighbourhood voices.
As a mother of two young adults, Terri understands the pressures facing Toronto families today — affordability, housing, safety, community connection, and protecting what makes our neighbourhoods livable.
Her career as a screenwriter, actor, and director taught her the importance of listening deeply and telling stories that matter. Now, she wants to bring those same skills to City Hall.
Terri believes residents deserve:
-
transparency
-
accountability
-
safer communities
-
respectful consultation
-
and a stronger voice in shaping Toronto’s future.
